How State Education Philosophy Informs Local District-Charter Collaboration Efforts 

States diverge considerably in their philosophies about the relationship between school districts and charter schools, and the difference seems to matter to local collaboration efforts. Over the last few months, CRPE has been exploring these diverse outlooks with a variety of state education leaders to understand their theories and practices. Jordan Posamentier’s blog explores early findings from these observations by contrasting how Massachusetts’ and Arizona’s differing philosophies of public education play out through cross-sector cooperation and competition on a local level.
