There is a new way for the community to connect with nature at Standley Lake Regional Park! The much-anticipated Bird Island Cam is now active on the City of Westminster’s website. The 24-hour live camera gives the community a unique and never-before-seen view of a major area of wildlife habitat at Standley Lake. Located just 400 feet offshore, the island serves as a safe and protected home for a wide variety of birds who turn the small space into a nesting ground each spring. With the Bird Island Cam now operational, you can experience the sights and sounds of this seasonal attraction year-round.

City Council votes to reduce water rates

Westminster residents should see savings on their water bills this summer, as City Council voted to reduce water rates and increase the consumption limits of the city’s three-tier water rate structure for residential customers. The average resident will save $86 annually.

City launches Job Training Incentive Grant program

In support of our local businesses, Westminster launched the City’s first-ever Job Training Incentive Grant program to help defray the costs of training new employees and getting them the necessary skills to do their job.

Big Dry Creek Sewer Improvement Project

Beginning the week of March 14, trail users can expect several weeks of various closures and detours along the Big Dry Creek Trail near Big Dry Creek Park. Crews are working on sewer pipes in the area of W. 128th Ave. and N. Federal Pkwy. as part of the Big Dry Creek Sewer Improvements Project. Learn more.

The Trail Wayfinding Program is here to help keep you safe!

Each trail sign along the Big Dry Creek and Little Dry Creek trails has an identification number at the bottom. Trail users can report that number to police for help locating them in emergency situations. This program will be expanded to more trails in the future.

Free mulch available at self-serve site

The free mulch site located at 9920 Westminster Blvd. is a self-serve, self-loading site open to Westminster residents 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The mulch offered by this program is a product of the material collected during the City's free tree limb recycling events held throughout the year. The free mulch site will remain open to the public until supply runs out.
