February 17 marks the beginning of Lunar New Year -- Chinese Chunjie, Vietnamese Tet, Korean Solnal, Tibetan Losar, and Spring Festival, which celebrates the arrival of the new year in Asia and ends 16 days later with the first full moon.2026 is the Year of the Horse, which symbolizes energy, confidence, independence, strength, and perseverance.

Presidents' Day is on the third Monday of February each year. The day began with honoring George Washington, the first President of the United States, born on February 22, and Abraham Lincoln, born on February 12. It was expanded to include all the presidents who have served the United States.
