2022 CSBS Student Research Day

April 26, 1-3PM
Join us for this year’s CSBS Student Research Day! Both graduate and undergraduate students in the college will be given the opportunity to showcase original research projects using poster presentations, and family and friends are encouraged to attend as well. A panel of faculty judges will evaluate the projects. Three cash prizes will be awarded for best posters in each of the graduate research and undergraduate research categories thanks to our sponsors the Richard & Leslie Haskell Family Foundation.

Public Health Internships & Employment Panel Discussion

April 6, 5:00 PM
Join us on April 6 at 5:00 PM for a panel discussion on public health opportunities, internships, employment, and everything in between. Panelists will include:
  • Zoe Hines, MPH, MPP: Senior Associate at Leavitt Partners
  • Dorothy Adams, MPA, LEHS: Associate Director, Salt Lake County Health Department
  • Kimberly Anderson, MPH: Vice President of Clinical Operations at PEGUS Research
  • Carrie Butler, MPH, MPP: Executive Director at Utah Public Health Association

Mental Health Film Contest

15-30 year-olds living in Utah: we want to hear from you! Share your vision of Healing Out Loud in a video 30 seconds or shorter. It can be anything: original music, dance, spoken word, art, poetry, or speech. The only requirement is to be creative and be yourself.

Ethics Week Film Screening: Whose Streets?

Powered by activists and leaders, this documentary follows the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement following the 2014 killing of Michael Brown. 
Pizza will be distributed to attendees at the end of the event. Please plan to arrive at the venue promptly as the venue’s capacity is limited.

Red Butte Mindfulness Workshop
April 9, 12-2 PM
Come join us at Red Butte Gardens for a mindfulness workshop where you can celebrate signs of new growth and life after a long winter. 
Masks and social distancing are encouraged. Please bring water, a journal, and something to write with. Comfortable clothing and shoes are encouraged.
