The University Chaplaincy
|
The University Chaplaincy is explicitly committed to being an affirming, inclusive space for all Loggers. We are here for people of any, all, or no particular religious or spiritual background, and have a particular commitment to those who have experienced bias or harm through religious or spiritual systems. The Chaplaincy is a space to explore, heal, question, and seek the course of your own spiritual journey.
University Chaplain Rev. Dave Wright ’96 and Jewish Life Coordinator Cantor Geoff Fine are both strictly confidential resources for support for students, faculty, and staff. Both are available to meet with campus members for conversation, reflection, exploration, support, and more. See their posted office and coffee hours on this page, or you can email chaplaincy@pugetsound.edu to set an appointment with either Dave or Geoff.
Watch for a variety of opportunities to engage with issues of meaning, spirituality, and religion — from major lectures to discussion groups to dinners with local and national guests.

Study Abroad Applications are Open
|
At Puget Sound, students are encouraged to step beyond the local classroom and explore the world. Through the Office of International Programs, they can choose from a wide variety of study abroad experiences. Whether it’s a semester in Europe, Asia, Latin America or short-term international travel courses.
These international opportunities allow your student to:
|
- Deepen their academic learning in a global context,
-
Gain independence and cross-cultural understanding, and
- Experience new places with the support of faculty and staff.
|
The deadline for students to submit their application to study abroad is January 23, 2026, for Summer 2026, Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Academic Year 2026–27. We encourage you to talk with your student about how studying abroad could enrich their college journey.

How do machines work? How are buildings, roads, and bridges designed and built? What are the most efficient ways to manage and transport resources like water, gas, and electricity? How are new inventions transformed from ideas into physical structures?
Puget Sound’s Dual-Degree Engineering Program is designed for students who are interested in becoming engineers and also want a significant liberal arts component to their education. Students in the program spend their first three or four years at Puget Sound studying core curriculum and completing a major (other than engineering) while also completing a set of prerequisites to prepare for engineering studies. Qualified students may then pursue an engineering degree at one of our affiliated institutions, completing an additional two years of study in engineering courses. Upon successful completion of coursework at both institutions, the student receives two bachelor’s degrees, one from each institution. Some students elect to attend other engineering schools instead of the affiliate schools.

Looking ahead: Getting to SeaTac

800.487.7433 (Washington toll-free)
Capital Aeroporter
www.capair.com

Security Services is offering secured parking for student vehicles during winter break. The cost is $85 per vehicle. Spaces will fill quickly, so encourage your student to make their reservation if they plan to leave a car on campus. Starting this week, students can stop in at Security Services between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to reserve their parking space. If you have any questions, please email security@pugetsound.edu.
