ALFRED
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and these words have never been more true than in Alfred's case. Alfred is a one year old Chinese Crested and Shar Pei mix. He is hairless with the exception of his face and tail. His eyes are humanlike and you can almost see him thinking.
He was owner surrendered by people who said he required more time than they were able to spend socializing him. You see Alfred is a very sensitive dog and it takes time for him to trust. He needs his space upon introduction and he needs to be allowed to move at his own pace. Once he has decided he likes and trusts you, he is a snuggle bug.
Alfred is standoffish but has never tried to bite. We don't however think he would be a good fit for a family with young children. Older children would probably be fine as long as they know not to press him. Once he trusts, he is a happy and playful dog.
If you or someone you know has always wanted a hairless, highly sensitive and intelligent dog who will garner loads of attention everywhere he goes, Alfred might be the dog. We are looking for just the right person for our unique and in our opinion, beautiful Alfred.
