Rise 'n shine Summer 5K Walk & Run

Rise 'n Shine Summer 5K Walk & Run
August 11, 8:00 am
Join us for our 2nd Annual summer race featuring a riveting 5K Walk & Run taking you through the beautiful Bay City Riverfront!  This family friendly race can be great for any age and all registrants will receive a custom rise ‘n shine 2018 t-shirt and a finishers medal.  Childwatch will be provided to walk and run participants during their race.  Stay after the race for the Family Fun Fest!  It is free to the whole community and includes a silent auction, games, face painting, hair wraps, balloon twisting, bubble blowing, and so much more.

All proceeds from the race will go to the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA Financial Assistance Program.

Little Rays of Sun 1K Race
August 11, 9:00 am
This race is perfect for your runners ages 3-12.  All registrants will receive a Little Rays of Sun t-shirt and a medal! Thank you to Copus Orthodontics for supporting this race for another year!
Kids TRI 'n shine Triathlon
August 11, 9:30 am
NEW for 2018… TRI ‘n shine kids triathlon! Brought to you by the Bay City Morning Rotary Club, Jacks Bike Shop, and Copus Orthodontics, the TRI ‘n shine is great for ages 7-17.  We promise big fun for your child during this race as they enter into the triathlon world.  Each registrant will be entered into a raffle to win a brand new bike from Jacks Bike Shop. Information on distances and registration can be found by clicking the logo.
No experience neccesary.  
FREE Family Fun Fest
August 11, 9:00 am
The Family Fun Fest is free to the whole community and includes a silent auction, games, face painting, hair wraps, balloon twisting, bubble blowing, and so much more!

Rise ‘N Shine 2018 Volunteer Opportunities!
  • Registration – assist with registering race participants, handing out information, packets, and t-shirts.
  • 5K Race Route – stay at a station along the race route to direct runners/walkers where to go and cheer them on!
  • Bounce House – direct and limit number of people on the bounce house, make sure everyone going on the bounce house is being safe and having fun!
  • Games - several different games will be available during the Family Fun Fest including corn hold, hopscotch, Uno, Jenga, ring toss, bowling, and more! We need your help in making sure the games run smoothly for all.
All Rise ‘N Shine volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, camaraderie with awesome people, and a good feeling for making a difference in your community! Click here for more information.
