REGISTRATION DEADLINE

HIGHLAND HIATUS
Starting Monday, Aug. 18, Highland Street will be closed to most vehicles between Avenue C and Avenue A for the fall semester. Due to Union Circle construction, most DCTA buses have moved behind the Highland Street Garage except for the Discovery Park and North Texas routes which are now located next to Hickory Hall on the west side. Keeping traffic from entering Highland Street will help alleviate congestion, making it safer for pedestrians and helping the buses stay on schedule.
Drivers will still be able to enter lots 23, 25, 36, 37 and the Highland Street Garage. Bicycles (in the bike lanes), golf carts, emergency vehicles, and approved delivery and work vehicles will still have access to Highland Street, so pedestrians should remain alert.
