Music to our ears
A partnership between the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra and The University of Tulsa will create a wealth of opportunities for students in TU's School of Music and further strengthen the city's arts scene. Five Tulsa Symphony musicians will be artists in residence during 2022-23, conducting masterclasses with the TU Orchestra, serving as mentors for the students and performing recitals twice a year for the School of Music.

Taking the community's pulse
When Ascension St. John started planning its next large-scale community health needs assessment, Associate Professor of Community Medicine Jeffrey Alderman saw an opportunity to design a course that would give students first-hand research experience gathering data for the comprehensive report. Representing a variety of years and majors, the students spent the fall learning about health care access, affordability, equitability, quality and patient satisfaction.
