The Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Manchester Business Association are proud to announce the return of the annual B2B Golf Classic at The Golf Club at The Equinox. Now entering its eighth year, the B2B Golf Classic has become one of the region’s biggest business networking and fundraising events, bringing together professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and organizations from across Southwestern Vermont and the broader tri-state region for a day of connection, collaboration, and friendly competition. The tournament features an 18-hole scramble format with a shotgun start at 12:15pm, creating an inclusive and enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. Participants will enjoy a full afternoon on the course, complete with golfer gift bags, lunch, contests, networking opportunities, raffle prizes, and the popular 19th Hole Reception following play. Green Mountain Academy welcomes food scholar and author, Darra Goldstein, to talk about The Art of Corn. The talk will take place at the Southern Vermont Arts Center’s Yester House. This program looks at imagery that takes corn as its subject, in the process showing how corn moves from material to metaphor. From ancient Aztec statues to high-fashion couture, art that depicts corn or uses it as a medium goes beyond the aesthetic to reveal larger societal and cultural concerns. This talk explores the sociocultural meanings of corn as represented in paintings, photographs, and other art forms, including handicrafts like corncob dolls. Registration is $20 per person. The Arlington Village Farmers Market is returning on Fridays! Meet continuing and new vendors in the village along Rt. 7A as the season kicks off with music provided by Ranson Notes, tacos from Taqueria el Chepe, smash burgers from Ghost Light Farm, drinks from Sexy Llama Coffee Roasters and Fanciful Fizz, plus twenty-four other vendors and non-profit organizations! The kids’ tent sponsored this year by ACPHNS,  Bank of Bennington, Beacon Bank, and Keelan Family Foundation will provide weekly activities for kids to participate in at the market. Beginning June 12, a weekly Cornhole Tournament will be happening on the lawn of the Arlington Inn & Spa. There will be something for everyone, so be sure to come by! The Poultney Historical Society is planning its 91st Annual East Poultney Day celebration for August 8 from 9am to 3pm. They are now seeking vendors for the event. This year's theme is the commemoration of America's 250th anniversary, often called the “Semiquincentennial.” Vermont and Poultney played important roles in the American Revolution, and there is much to commemorate. This year’s keynote speaker is historian Phyllis Chapman who will present a talk entitled “Woman and the American Revolution.” As always, the day is full of education and entertainment, remaining a much-anticipated community event. You're invited! The Shires Young Professionals (SYP) 2nd Annual Summer Soirée at Mt. Anthony Country Club is open to everyone, including the community, supporters of their mission, and of course, their amazing membership of young workers in Southwestern Vermont. Starting on June 5, Town Hall Theater will host the free Five Fridays Concert Series in its Maloney Plaza on the Tilly Stage. Local and internationally celebrated performers will play a range of music genres, including rock, folk, blues, Americana, and even chamber music. This live music series will host food offerings and a bar and run on the first Friday of the month from June through October. It’s free, thanks to a generous grant. These concerts intersect with the popular downtown Middlebury First Friday series when Middlebury businesses stay open late and downtown is hopping. On June 5 from 5pm to 6:30pm, the Dwight + Nicole Band kicks off the series. Genre-defying Dwight Ritcher and Nicole Nelson’s musical roots connect to blues, R&B, and soul with a little roots rock, alternative, and Americana sprinkled in. Visit here for more.

Israel Congregation of Manchester is excited to host If You Must Know, the harp and bag pipe duo of Rachel and Dan. While firmly rooted in the fertile ground of Scottish traditional music, harpist Rachel Clemente and piper Dan Houghton’s gritty, avant-garde musical interpretations put them at the forefront of Celtic folk musicians in New England. They are both avid tunesmiths and their repertoire reflects this as it features many original compositions as well as traditional melodies. Dorset Theatre Festival (DTF) is proud to announce the final leading cast members for its 49th Main Stage summer season. Nayib Felix joins the New England premiere of Advice by Brent Askari, while the season finale, Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero, will feature Tobias Segal, Lee Aaron Rosen, Ugo Chukwu, and Carmen Flood. Additionally, W. Tré Davis joins the cast of The Understudy, replacing David Mason. “These are incredible actors,” said Will Rucker, Executive Artistic Director. “They are Broadway veterans and stars of some of the most acclaimed shows on television today, bringing a level of craft and energy that Dorset audiences have come to expect.” The 2026 season begins with Deceived, a chilling new adaptation of the classic thriller Gaslight (June 19 to July 4).
