Dear faculty and staff,
Almost two weeks into the spring semester, we are grateful that the Omicron surge has started to recede and that the region – and our campus – is seeing declining COVID positivity rates. We are hopeful that things will continue to improve in the coming weeks. Thank you for following our health and safety protocols; let’s continue to remain vigilant and keep our campus community safe. Booster Reminder
All employees are required to submit their booster verification on Service Now by February 15, or within two weeks of becoming eligible. A reminder that for those who received a Pfizer or Moderna series, eligibility is now five months after the second shot.
PCR Tests
Employees can now schedule COVID PCR test appointments online! Log in to MyHealthBeacon and follow the steps described here and at the end of this email. Web booking is only for routine on demand or surveillance testing – if you are symptomatic or believe you were exposed (or simply prefer to schedule by phone), please continue to call 617.287.4355.
Antigen Tests
The campus is making available at-home antigen test kits while supplies last. You may pick up a free package of tests (two tests) at four locations on campus:
- UHS testing clinic (Campus Center, second floor, Alumni Lounge)
- Campus Center Information Desk (Campus Center, Upper Level)
- Human Resources office (Quinn, third floor)
- Office of Environmental Health & Safety (Quinn Service & Supply, Upper Level, 034)
You may also order free antigen kits here, which the federal government will ship directly to your home.

Steps for online scheduling of COVID tests at UHS:
- Log in to MyHealth Beacon using UMB login and password
- Confirm your date of birth
- Select “Appointments” from the left hand menu
- Click “Schedule an Appointment”
- Click “COVID-19 Testing”
- Answer a series of simple questions
- Schedule your appointment!
