Up-close Look at FBI Redstone
Council Member Robinson joined Mayor Tommy Battle, City Administrator John Hamilton and Council President John Meredith on recent visits to learn more about the FBI at Redstone Arsenal. One visit included a tour of the Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (ATF) National Center for Explosives Training and Research. Council Member Robinson also enjoyed a tour of the sprawling FBI campus that includes administrative offices and classroom training facilities. While the FBI has dramatically expanded its footprint at Redstone Arsenal over the past decade, the bureau has had a presence in Huntsville for more than 50 years. Council Member Robinson is pictured above, right to left, with Mayor Battle, Council President Meredith and ATF Special Agent in Charge Brice McCracken.

Special Memento for a Special Friend
Council Member Robinson recently visited with Chuck Saunders, who served on the Huntsville City Council in the 1990s, including tenures as Council President. During the visit, Council Member Robinson presented Saunders and his wife, Barbara, with a unique gift: a special shadowbox holding a piece of marble from the recently demolished former City Hall.
Newly Annexed Land Expands District 3
The City Council on July 10 voted to annex 1,013 acres in Morgan and Marshall counties into District 3. The annexation expands Huntsville’s industrial base and allows the City to regulate the Smyrna Ready Mix Concrete LLC quarry.  The annexation also helps the City protect Tennessee River frontage in Morgan County. The petitioners, Wiz Kidz LLC and Hollingshead Materials LLC did not request any City services as part of the annexation.
