Using Performance Management as a Professional Development Tool

A new approach to performance management is turning annual reviews into meaningful tools for career development. By emphasizing regular check-ins, skill-building conversations and future-focused goal setting, the initiative helps employees align personal growth with university goals. Managers are encouraged to support development through open dialogue, learning resources and ongoing coaching. The ultimate aim of the initiative is to transform reviews from routine paperwork into launchpads for long-term success.
