Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
Effective October 18th, 2021, all members, staff, and guests of Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club will be required to be fully vaccinated in order to access the Club’s indoor facilities. Proof of vaccination status will be required and must show the individual to be fully vaccinated a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to accessing the Club. Proof of vaccination must be in the form of a Ministry of Health official form or a vaccination passport once they come available. Please see below the level of access permitted for those who are vaccinated and those who are partially vaccinated or unvaccinated.
Member Access - Golf
Fully Vaccinated Members: Maintain full access to the long course, short course, driving range, putting green, Pro Shop, and may ride on a cart with another individual without a mask.
Partially Vaccinated or Unvaccinated Members: May access to the long course, short course, driving range and putting green only for the remainder of the 2021 Golf Season**. These members may not enter the Pro Shop and must wear a mask while riding on a cart with another individual.
Member Access - Clubhouse / Dining
Fully Vaccinated Members: Maintain full access to the Locker Rooms, Outdoor Dining, Indoor Dining and Restrooms (Provincially mandated face-covering rules apply to indoor spaces).
Partially Vaccinated or Unvaccinated Members: May not access the Locker Rooms or Indoor Dining. May access Outdoor Dining and Restrooms (Provincially mandated face-covering rules apply to indoor spaces).
Member Access - Curling
Fully Vaccinated Members: May access the Curling Rink and may participate in curling without a face-covering. May access Locker Rooms, Indoor/ Outdoor Dining and Restrooms (Provincially mandated face-covering rules apply to indoor spaces).
Partially Vaccinated or Unvaccinated Members: May not access the Curling Rink, Locker Rooms or Indoor Dining.
Guest Access
Guests of members, which includes spouses, are subject to the same access to the Club as noted above for members. Members are responsible for informing their guests of the Club Vaccination Policy and providing proof of vaccination on behalf of their guests prior to attending the Club.
Events/Function Attendee Access
All attendees of events or functions at the Club will be required to be fully vaccinated for a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to attending the Club. The event convener or organizer is responsible for ensuring their guests are in accordance with the Club’s Vaccination policy. Organizers or Conveners will be required to send a link to all guests who will submit their proof of vaccination status prior to attending the Club. If there are guests that do not provide proof prior to the event, each guest will be required to check-in before entering the building, those who cannot provide proof of vaccination will not be permitted access.
Staff Access
All staff across all departments must be fully vaccinated in order to report to work. Staff members who require an accommodation under the Human Rights Code, that has been approved by the General Manager, will be required to undergo regular antigen testing and provide a negative result within 72 hours of reporting to work. Only those staff members who receive a negative result will be permitted to work.
The cost for this testing will remain free of charge to the employee only as long as the tests are provided free of charge by the Government of Ontario, once they are no longer being provided free of charge, the employee will be responsible for the cost of the test.
Children Under 12 Years of Age
Effective October 18, 2021, children not yet eligible for vaccination may access indoor dining and indoor activities as long as they are accompanied by parents who have provided their own proof of vaccination and been granted access to facilities. Children under 12 years of age are also exempt from antigen testing. Parents are asked to closely monitor their children or COVID-19 symptoms and ensure that they do not access the Club should their child have any of the recognized symptoms as per the Ontario Ministry of Health.
Accommodations
The Club will comply with its human rights obligations and accommodate members who are legally entitled to accommodation under the Ontario Human Rights Code. Any members being accommodated will be subject to face-covering rules indefinitely. We will also require those who are unable to get vaccinated to provide us with proof of a negative antigen test result within 72 hours of attending the Club.
If you should require accommodation, please send an accommodation request to cstevens@dundasvalleygolf.com. This request must include one of the two supporting documents:
- A letter on letterhead from your Primary Care Physician indicating that there is an underlying medical condition that deems it unsafe for you to receive the vaccine.
- A letter on letterhead from your religious leader indicating that your faith disallows you to receive the vaccine.
