As we stand at the threshold of a new year, Data for Impact (D4I) celebrates the milestones and collective achievements in 2023 that have supported evidence use to improve programs, policies, and health outcomes.
D4I’s work in Moldova won the2023 Collaborate, Learn, and Adapt (CLA) Case Competition for external collaboration and adaptive management. Two Data Review Roomswere launched in 2023 to support the Moldova Ministry of Labor and Social Protection to integrate data-driven decision making in their response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis.
In 2023, D4I facilitated apilot of the Digital Skills Assessment (DSA) Guide with the Uganda Ministry of Gender, Labor, and Social Development and other child protection stakeholders. The updated DSA Guide provides steps to inform the development of a customizable assessment of digital skills.
D4I collaborated with MOMENTUM’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Innovation, and Learning Working Group and Nigerian-based Data Research and Mapping Consult, Ltd. (DRMC) to host a webinar panel and discussion about tools that catalyze local capacity strengthening.
Ghana Health Services and D4I are collaborating to enhance the gender competency of family planning providers. In 2023, D4I hosted close-out events to highlight collaboration with two government ministries to strengthen child protection programs and policies. In Armenia, D4I supported the establishment of a case management information system for the Armenia Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. In Colombia, D4I supported the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF) to develop and prioritize indicators that monitor and evaluate the standardization and quality of case management.
