At the University of Tennessee, caring for one another is at the heart of our Be One UT value of being united and connected. While none of us can predict when someone may be facing a crisis, we can all recognize the signs, respond with confidence and connect others with the help they need.

That's why we're launching “UT Wellness: Know How, Know Now,” a new systemwide K@TE training series that equips faculty and staff with practical, life-saving skills.

The three self-paced trainings, designed with support from our campus partners, include:

The trainings launch Aug. 31 to coincide with International Overdose Awareness Day and the beginning of National Suicide Prevention Month. Keep an eye on your inbox for more information on how to participate.

And there’s a little friendly competition, too. From Aug. 31 through Oct. 10, campuses and institutes will compete in the Know How, Know Now Challenge for the highest participation rate and special recognition. Employees who complete all three trainings during the challenge will earn a digital certificate and qualify for a systemwide prize drawing.
