New Student Orientation was so much fun as 521 incoming students from the Class of 2027 along with 31 transfer students arrived on campus. And we loved welcoming over 900 of you (parents, family members, and student supporters) to campus as well for move-in day. Welcome to the Block!

Students get a raise! As of this month, student employees at CC will see an increase in their paychecks. The hourly wage has increased by $0.66 per hour, resulting in new rates of $14.31 per hour for students in Step 1 positions, and $14.71 per hour for those in Step 2 positions.
It has been determined that with this adjustment in pay, on average, a CC student can fulfill their entire work-study award by working approximately six hours per week throughout the academic year. For specifics on how this budget augmentation was calculated, or any other questions, please contact CC's Student Employment Office.

Whether your student is on campus without a vehicle, or simply looking to travel in more sustainable ways, Colorado College has transportation alternatives they can start utilizing today!
PikeRide: One campus favorite is to ride PikeRide bikes, which are easy-to-use e-assist bikes that are available throughout Colorado Springs.
The ZEB: Planning to go to Downtown Colorado Springs, but don’t want to walk? Look no further than the ZEB, a FREE shuttle service that runs every 7-10 minutes along Tejon Street.
Outdoor Ed: E-bikes and "fat" bikes (mountain bikes) for low-cost rentals are available during Ahlberg Gear House hours. If your student owns their own bicycle, the Bike & Ski Co-op is available to support equipment maintenance needs. The Co-op also has U-locks, bike tubes, and tires for sale.
Mountain Metro: Want to go even farther off campus? The Mountain Metro Transit (MMT) system provides students with FREE, year-round rides to a variety of destinations all around Colorado Springs. Students can jump on with their CC ID! Want to visit Trader Joe’s or Costco? Take Bus #19, which runs every 30 minutes. Feeling adventurous? Take Bus #9 to the Downtown Terminal and connect to Bus #3, which drops off in the historic resort city of Manitou Springs! With so many routes to choose from, there are plenty of MMT adventures to discover.
Airport Shuttles
Have a student flying out of Denver International Airport or the Colorado Springs Airport for Fall or Winter Break? Students may book a free one-way shuttle ticket from campus to the Denver or Colorado Springs airport for either the afternoon of Wednesday, or the morning of Thursday, at the start of breaks. These shuttles are sponsored by CCSGA, and space is limited. Students will be notified when sign-up is open, and they should sign up in person at the Worner Desk. There are no return trip shuttles, and students will need to make their own arrangements to return to campus. From DIA, many students use Groome Shuttle (they can call 719-687-3456 and indicate they are CC students in order to be dropped off on campus). Students flying into COS can use a ride share app or local taxi service.
Fall Break (Shuttles depart from Worner Center) Wednesday, Nov. 15 Shuttle to DIA departs at 1 p.m. Shuttle to COS departs at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 16 Shuttle to DIA departs at 7 a.m. Shuttle to COS departs at 7:30 a.m.
