An Inspiration to Students
|
Alumna Candy Ranney ’85 was named Elementary Librarian of the Year by the Washington Library Association. Ranney studied biology and foreign languages at Puget Sound and later earned a degree in library science from the University of Washington. Since 2006, she’s been the library media specialist at Mountain View Elementary School in Shelton, Washington.
"I hope [the students] realize that later in life, the library is the place for them to not only get books, but to explore and get help with things they need," Ranney told the Shelton-Mason County Journal. "You want to be able to give them tools to better themselves."
