Our "Angel" Gabriel!!!
Kruskya is back to normal!!! Thank you for your prayers after she was bitten by a Viper.
I can’t believe it is May already. These last few months have just flown by. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the amazing response in donations toward the much needed new van. As of this writing we have received $35,488.50 of the needed $45,000 to purchase a new van  for Casa de Fe. This will be a HUGE blessing. Please help us to reach our goal by clicking here and making a donation to the Van Fund.
As blessed as we have been in reaching the goal for the Van, we find the general fund very low this month. Please consider signing up for a monthly donation to help us with the daily care of the children of Casa de Fe. Click here to make a one time or recurring donation to Casa de Fe’s general fund.
As if I haven’t ask you enough for your help… August is coming and as you know we are required to give a bonus to all Ecuadorian employees in August. The added expense for this bonus is $17,568. along with all the normal monthly expenses. Would you commit to doing a special fundraiser in the next 3 months to help us cover this added expense. Please feel free to email myself pattisue@lacasadefe.org ,Omer Troyer mjotroyer@gmail.com or Kirk Bemis kirkbemis@yahoo.com for some innovative ideas for fundraisers. Also please let us know what you are planning so we can help you advertise.
We still have a couple of slots for Summer teams and as always can use summer volunteers. So if you are interested please email teams@lacasadefe.org or  volunteers@lacasadefe.org for more information. We hope to see you soon!

Prov. 22:6

May our heavenly Father greatly bless you
I give thanks to the Creator of heaven and earth, for all of his blessings and trials that we have had here in Casa de Fe, because we know that in them all our Father has helped us and never left our sides, and because we know that all things are for our good and that our Heavenly Father is in control of everything; and that in his plan he will make all things good.
At the beginning of the month we traveled to Puyo to a medical appointment, just like any other day, but when we arrived at the hospital the van was having problems and had to be towed to the mechanic. After checking the van over, they found that some tubing, through use and time, had broken, and that through these the water had escaped…they changed the tubing only to find that the problem was greater, and that because of the overheating they had to take apart the engine to replace some parts. Also, because of the past problems with the diesel pump, the mechanic said we had to replace both the pump and the injectors on the van. Thankfully brother Chris has been loaning us his car to take the children back and forth to the special needs school, and also to take the pump up to Ambato to get it repaired, because here in Puyo there is no place to fix it. We have left the pump in Ambato so they can find all of the parts to fix it; it is taking a bit of time to find the original parts, but the mechanic has assured us that he will make sure they get only original parts and fix it well. We are waiting for them to fix the pump and get the injectors, so that we can continue to reconstruct the motor and once again use the van.
Also, in these days we have shared some very special times with the kids in different activities of the Easter holidays, going to the pool, different games and Sunday having a cookout and then the service on the resurrection.
We continue to work with the same desire and joy for the children, adolescents and special need children that are here at Casa de Fe. For each of you that help us spiritually with your prayers and economically, may our heavenly Father bless you and your families, your work and your churches.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is older he will not depart form it.   Prov. 22:6

Greetings from the Chaplain's desk
Just a quick note with some prayer requests for the Sunday school at Casa de Fe.
At the beginning of April we had a meal-and-meeting with Henry and Geidi, as well as the two volunteer Sunday school teachers that are helping us when they can to teach the children. It was a great time of planning, praying for the children, mapping out a new lesson plan and looking over the material on hand.
One of the biggest things discussed was the changes in the age groups at Casa de Fe, which has changed a number of the dynamics for Sunday School. Of the children that we minister to on Sundays, we currently have 22 in the children's group of 2-7 year olds, 16 in the adolescent group of 8-13 year olds, and only 4 young ladies, of whom at least two will be leaving Casa de Fe after this school year is over. Accordingly, we are changing a little the groups and our teaching approach, so as to make sure that each child is receiving what they need and can understand on a spiritual level.
We have changed  the groups a bit, but are still in need of more volunteers so as to be able to divide the children even better, so that the lessons can be prepared and presented in a way that they can fully understand. We are also heading up or coordinating separate lessons or times with the adolescents and teenagers, so that they can grow even stronger spiritually. Please continue to pray for this most needy part of the children's lives, as well as for God's provision of volunteers and material.
Be blessed!
