The Public Libraries of Jefferson County are evolving their pandemic protocols. Patrons are encouraged to wear masks at all library locations but are no longer required to do so. We will continue to follow guidelines from federal, state, and local health officials to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and our procedures for staff and customers will continue to evolve along with them. We will be sure to update you when there are any additional changes. Thank you for all your efforts over the past year to keep yourself and others safe. The services available at the libraries vary based on decisions made by their respective city and library administrators. For the most up-to-date information regarding the services available at your local public library, please contact your local library directly.
During the past year, we were able to relax many of the restrictions on accessing library services and content. Starting August 1, 2021, we will reinstate those restrictions. If your library card is expired, you can renew online or in-person at your local library. If you signed up for a temporary e-card during the last year, you will need to visit your local library and sign up for a library card. If you have questions about the status of your library card, please contact your local library.
Quarantining of returned items will end May 31, 2021.

Your local library is the best source of up-to-date information. If you still have questions, send an email to Tobin Cataldo at tobin.cataldo@jclc.org.
As a reminder, most of our facilities are open for in-person and curbside service.
We hope to see you soon!
