Meadow Days
Sept. 20 & Oct. 11, 11 am–3 pm
Visit during our Meadow Days and experience the harmony of nature's variety and man's careful stewardship in our Meadow Garden. Longwood experts will be on hand to answer your questions as you explore. 
During our Meadow Days, we are proud to partner with Natural Lands Trust, a regional land conservation organization.

Garden Railway is Open
On view through Jan. 11
Guests of all ages will enjoy our Garden Railway. Composed of five locomotives and more than 45 different engines, this G-scale model train display includes bridges, tunnels, and water features. 
Visit the Garden Railway in its new location near the Birdhouse Treehouse during regular Gardens hours.
Fireworks Finale

Don't miss the final Fireworks & Fountains Show of the season on Sept. 13 at 8:15 pm.
The show features glittering fireworks synchronized to The Beatles classics including Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Here Comes the Sun, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Let it Be, and more. 
Make the most of your experience by purchasing tickets for our Summer Barbeque where you can dine on gourmet picnic fare before the show. Tickets are limited.
The Search for Innovation with Ron Mulray, AIFD
Floral Design Demonstration & Reception
Join us Oct. 6, from
7–10 pm for an evening in the Ballroom and see Mulray design live on stage as he turns traditional flowers, ordinary objects, and household items into extraordinary works of art. A complimentary dessert reception follows. Advanced registration required.

Fountain Revitalization Talks 

Sundays, September 28, October 19, & November 9, 11 am & 1 pm

Get engaged in the Fountain Revitalization Project by learning more from a Longwood expert. This short talk will highlight many aspects of the project including innovative technologies, exciting features, sensitive restoration, and enhanced horticulture of the future Main Fountain Garden.

Talks are located in the Visitor Center Auditorium and are free with Membership and Gardens Admission. Space is limited.

Night of 1,000 Lights, Nov. 7 & 8 

Tickets on sale now

Celebrate our Chrysanthemum Festival and see more than 1,000 lanterns aglow in our Conservatory during our Asian-inspired celebration.

Meet the gardeners that grow the artful chrysanthemum forms, make your own lantern for our festival parade, enjoy special performances, and watch illuminated fountains dance in our Open Air Theatre. Tickets limited. Event is rain or shine.

Meadow Harvest Dinner, Oct. 3

Join us for a dining event inspired by our Meadow Garden

Indulge in gourmet flavors of the autumn season and feast your eyes on the breathtaking views of our Meadow Garden.  

This special evening begins at 6 pm with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by a multi-course farm-to-table dinner complete with wine pairings and decadent desserts.
