In response to negative feedback regarding the volume of emails received, the Divisions of Technology Services and Marketing & Communications have worked collaboratively to streamline the distribution of internal, campuswide communications related to event promotions, research study participation opportunities, student organizations and more. We will now exclusively offer a digest that provides a once-daily summary directly to your inbox to help reduce the total number of individual messages received.
Beginning February 27, we will transition from three lists to two lists: one for student interests and one for employee interests. You may opt-in to one or both lists. You may also choose to opt-out at any time.
If you are currently opted-in to receive general interest emails, you will continue to receive updates in a once-daily digest. If you are currently opted-out, you will not receive any general interest communications distributed through bulk email.
You may update your preferences at any time by visiting the email settings portal at gateway.tamu.edu.
To use the bulkmail service as a sender, please review the guidelines posted online to determine if your communication qualifies for distribution via this channel. Please remember that bulkmail service should not be used for official administrative or operational messages that faculty, staff or students must receive to successfully fulfill their role or responsibilities.
Lastly, we will be retiring the Distribution A list due to low subscriber counts and more effective opportunities to communicate with our campus community.
