Message from Washington County Dairy Promotion Committee
Dear Washington County 4-H Clubs,
We are excited to announce the 38th Annual Breakfast on the Farm, hosted by Iron Ridge Dairy LLC owned and operated by Justin & Richelle Volm and Family, and Shaun & Sandi Volm and Family, located at 5385 Sunset Driver, Kewaskum. We are delighted to invite all county 4-H Clubs to participate in our “Cows on Parade” display.
Event Details
Date: June 13th
Location: “Cows on Parade” will be displayed at Iron Ridge Dairy LLC. Breakfast will be served on the farm from 7:00 am – 11:00 am. Please visit www.washingtoncountydairy.com for more details.
Activities at the Farm: Cows on Parade, pedal pull, barn tours, petting zoo, archery, face painting, barrel ride, ice cream sundaes, and root beer floats.
Participation Instructions
Pick-Up:
Wooden cows and rods can be collected from the south end of the dairy barn at the Washington County Fair Park, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Decoration: Clubs are responsible for decorating their cows. The theme is Udderly Amazing Wisconsin Dairy. Please display your club name on the cow.
Drop-Off: Decorated cows should be brought to Iron Ridge Dairy LLC on June 11th or 12th between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Incentives
Judging: “Cows on Parade” will be judged by breakfast attendees from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM on June 13th.
Prizes:
• 1st Prize: $100
• 2nd Prize: $75
• 3rd Prize: $50
Post-Event Display
Clubs are responsible for picking up their cows after 12:00 PM on the day of the breakfast and displaying them within their community to celebrate June Dairy Month.
Washington County Fair: The fair runs from July 21st to 26th . Please bring your cows to the fairgrounds by July 20th and place them on the west side of the dairy barn by Ag Adventureland.
