Screening 'Belly of the Beast'
Join Professor Eric Miller, co-director of the Loyola Anti-Racism Center and Policing Los Angeles Forum series, on Feb. 17 from 5-6 p.m. as he hosts a screening of "Belly of the Beast," a documentary film captured over seven years that features extraordinary access and intimate accounts from currently and formerly incarcerated people. Active Shooter Drill Part of Emergency Prep Efforts
The law school campus will be participating in the university's annual active shooter drills this Thursday, Feb. 17. The drills will include LLS Alerts in advance of campus public-address system announcements for day and evening classes at 10:20 a.m. & 6:20 p.m. The announcements will review how to respond in the event of an active shooter situation.

Celebrating the Work of Professor Sam Pillsbury
A Festschrift symposium celebrating the life and career of Sam Pillsbury will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Friday, March 25 in Robinson Courtroom. The event will honor Pillsbury, who retired after 35 years at LLS and a prolific array of scholarship. Speakers will include scholars, former colleagues and students speaking about Pillsbury's provocative scholarship and indelible contributions to social justice and the legal profession at LLS, in Los Angeles and beyond.
