For quick maintenance and safety support, call or text our 24/7 Clean & Safe Ambassadors at (520) 940-1038. Our ambassadors clean public sidewalks, empty trash cans, remove graffiti and stickers, address security concerns, handle biohazards and more. Requests must be within the Downtown Business Improvement District to be eligible for DTP service. De Novo Market & Tap Coming Soon!

At its last meeting, the Rio Nuevo Board voted to invest in a new restaurant concept, De Novo Market & Tap, located at 177 N. Church Ave., in the Transamerica Building. The venue will offer grab-and-go meals, lunch, and happy hour options, aimed at office workers with short lunch breaks. It will feature a beautiful 60-seat outdoor patio on the northwest corner of Church and Alameda. De Novo Market & Tap is expected to open by the end of the year.

Staycation Feature: DoubleTree by Hilton

Experience a stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Tucson Downtown Convention Center, featuring top-notch amenities and just steps away from amazing shows at the TCC campus, including the arena, music hall and theater. Explore the hidden gems of Barrio Viejo or dine at the on-site El Mezquite Grill & Taqueria, offering contemporary Southwest cuisine with fresh, local ingredients and traditional Mexican flavors. Unwind at the Pueblo Lounge with its local beer collection, locally distilled spirits, classic cocktails and the best margarita in town. Daily wine specials by the glass are also available.

End of Summer Celebration at the Alfie Museum

See some downtown gems in air-conditioned comfort at the Alfie Norville Gem & Mineral Museum! From August 6 to 17, the museum is offering $5 admission to everyone for a End of Summer Celebration. Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Basement Bars & Breweries

Look below to find a mixture of dim-lit basements and cozy downtown breweries, each offering its own intrigue. For example, Tough Luck Club is incredibly unique as it is in the basement of a former funeral home. On the other hand, Downtown Tucson’s breweries shine a focus on community: Pueblo Vida and Borderlands host weekly events like Yoga + Beer, Art Workshops and Trivia Night, while Brick Box Brewery is dedicated to supporting local musicians while it offers live music several times a week across a diverse range of genres.

Tucson Comic-Con Celebrates 15 Year Anniversary

Tucson Comic-Con kicks off downtown's upcoming event and festival season. Come to the Tucson Convention Center on August 30 to September 1 for a weekend of fantasy, sci-fi and pop culture. Celebrity guests include legendary Marvel editor and writer Roy Thomas, Doug Jones, John Ratzenberger, Rhyme, Ross Demma and more. Book your tickets here.
