| Philosophy Talk: ‘Understanding Demonization’

The Department of Philosophy will host NYU Professor Juliana Uhuru Bidadanure, who will give a talk titled “Understanding Demonization.” Demonization is commonly defined as the act of portraying individuals as wicked threats to the community.

| Scholars’ Forum in the CIT
The Scholars' Forum in the CIT will be hosting Dr. Ines Murzaku, presenting on her book, The History of the Jesuits in Albania on Wed., April 17 at 4 p.m. on TEAMS. The Scholars' Forum is co-sponsored by the University Core, the Catholic Studies Program, the Catholic Studies Center, Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology.

| Earth Day ‘Mass on the Grass’

We'll be gathering together on the Green for "Mass on the Grass" to celebrate the beauty of God's creation this Earth Day. Bring a beach towel or blanket to sit on!

April 25: St. Mark the Evangelist (Commemorates the 1st century evangelist and author of Mark’s Gospel)
|
Passover is one of the most important feasts on the Jewish calendar. It commemorates God’s liberation of the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt. The first night is celebrated with a special family meal called a seder. Symbolic foods are eaten and there is singing and prayer. Habibi Fest NJ
Habibi Fest NJ is at its heart about honoring the long, rich cultural traditions of the Arab world and providing an opportunity for all to enjoy and celebrate together as friends and neighbors. This free event will be hosted on April 20 at noon at The Woodland, Maplewood.

South Orange Downtown Food Stoll and Pub Crawl
On April 21, this tasting event showcases the diverse restaurants and unique downtown retailers. Participating businesses will set up tasting stations inside their restaurant or retail space and visitors will purchase wristbands online in advance or on-site to taste the goods.

Earth Day Celebration and Folk & Bluegrass Festival
On April 20, Monroe Center Plaza in Hoboken will host a family-friendly event where attendees of all ages will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature-themed public art projects, join interactive educational exhibits, and indulge in food offerings from local vendors.

Maplewood Vintage Show
This show on April 21 (The Woodland, Maplewood) will host a trove of vintage goods at this one-day-only affair.
