Elkhart Brass was proud to be a part of the
High Rise Operations Conference (HROC), organized by County Fire Tactics, and held in Pensacola Beach, FL last month, where over 500 North American firefighters came together in-person to focus on the challenges of high-rise fires and standpipe-equipped buildings. With COVID-19 precautions in place, two days of lecture from the Elkhart Brass team and other leading experts and one day of hands-on training (HOT classes) went smoothly.
Conference organizers gained access to a 3-story Best Western hotel slated for demolition to conduct a large portion of the hands-on training. HOT classes offered students the opportunity to learn incident command and control to hooking up to standpipe systems and advancing and flowing water. Additionally, training was held to flow water from a 17th floor hotel balcony at the Pensacola Beach Hilton into the Gulf of Mexico!
HROC is one of over 50 firefighting conferences that Elkhart Brass equips with handline nozzles, appliances, and monitors for training utilizing the latest, best-in-class products.
