Dear Tritons,
We sincerely hope you are enjoying Week 3 of Spring Quarter, and that you’re taking advantage of all of the opportunities to be together in person.
However, wth the lifting of some campus safety precautions, it is as important now as ever to be mindful of your personal health and safety and that of your fellow Tritons.
Stay healthy, stay in community.
Because we are all learning to adjust and adapt amidst these “new normal” fluctuations, we urge you to stay vigilant – so that we may continue to offer the flexibility to make personal choices when it comes to protecting yourself and the community against COVID-19.
Here are some friendly reminders:
When to Test
Unless you’ve had a positive COVID-19 test in the past 30 days, we urge you to test whenever:
- You are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19; or
- You receive a positive wastewater notification for the building where you live or work.
We also recommend testing:
- Both before and after attending a large gathering with others who are unmasked (like Sun God); and
- Before visiting with vulnerable or immunocompromised individuals.
Where to Mask
- In all indoor classroom/instructional settings;
- In clinical areas (including Student Health Services, CAPS, and Price Center COVID sites); and
- On Triton/university transportation until further notice.
Finally, we also would like to ask that if you do have COVID-19 symptoms, please wear a mask and reconsider socializing with others while you await test results.
Thank you, Tritons, for continuing to demonstrate your commitment to the health and safety of our entire community.
Be well,
Alysson M. Satterlund, Ph.D.
