USAID’s TB DIAH Project Makes Data Actionable
Ending tuberculosis (TB) is a priority of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Global Accelerator to End TB. Announced a year ago, the Accelerator catalyzes investments across countries and sectors to end the epidemic while building self-reliance. Improved analysis of local data and data aligned for global comparisons are critical in these efforts. The TB Data, Impact Assessment and Communications Hub (TB DIAH), the Accelerator’s first award, can help countries with the highest burdens of TB understand their data better and translate that understanding into actions to end the epidemic. TB DIAH will help USAID, national TB programs, health ministries, and other TB stakeholders to strengthen collection, analysis, and use of routine health and TB data; improve design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks; and increase reporting of data through visualization and narrative forms. Explore TB DIAH’s data hub and communications repository.
