Departments across campus have events planned throughout February to recognize and celebrate Black History Month at the University of Utah. The theme for 2022, picked by planning committee members, will be "Authentically U."

Join us as we learn how recent anthropological collaborations with indigenous communities and other local partners reveal insights at the interface of traditional knowledge and science. The Social Solutions Series explores how social and environmental challenges facing our world can be addressed by social and behavioral science research.

Center for Health Outcomes and Population Equity (HOPE) Research Assistants

The Center for Health Outcomes and Population Equity (HOPE) is currently looking for Undergraduate Research Assistants. Research Assistants will be working with a team headed by Dr. David Wetter and Dr. Cho Lam on mobile health (mHealth) and other studies targeting tobacco cessation.

The mask order is no longer in effect in Salt Lake County. But that doesn’t mean you should toss yours away. A good mask is an important thing to have when trying to steer clear of COVID-19—especially the omicron variant. But what is a good mask? Right now, N95, KN95 and KF94 masks offer the best protection.

You don’t need to be looking for an internship or job to attend; we also encourage first year students to attend to begin connecting with employers and exploring career opportunities.

  • Preparation: Formal preparation is highly encouraged. We recommend having your resume reviewed in our Career Studio and that you learn a little bit about each company you are hoping to chat with.
