Five Tips for Digital Engagement
  1. Schedule Ahead - the most common question asked about social is “how do I do the most with the least amount of time?” I’d say shift that focus and go ahead and capture as much as content as possible ahead of time and schedule it into a platform.

  2. Find Your Rhythm- sometimes it’s difficult to think about what you want to say, when you want to say it. But if you have a cadence for when and what you are posting, it can lessen the anxiety. Consider: Monday motivation (or musings), Share talent Tuesday, Wednesday Wisdom, Throwback Thursday OR think about industry news; staff, partner or volunteer spotlights; and sprinkle in some kitty’s.

  3. Curate - you can curate some of the great things that already exist on social, instead of constantly creating new content. Share what others are saying, especially if it fits into your rhythm. Just don’t forget to give the original poster some love by tagging them.

  4. Don't Just Talk, Listen Too - on social media, everyone is sharing so much about themselves. To cut through the noise, aggregate who you want to listen to by creating specific lists and by following hashtags that are relevant to your organization.

  5. Make it Simple for Your partners - use the partner guide to help you share the exact information your partners will need to share your messaging. Give the highlights and share links for digital assets. (And send us that information -- we'll post about the great things you are working on for Artober).

ABOUT COMMUNITY PARTNER MEETINGS
We invite your participation in Artober Nashville by attending our monthly Community Partner Meetings. Each month, partners are invited to learn how to get involved in the celebration and gain insight into how it brings value to your organization and the community as a whole. Meetings feature workshops, special presentations or peer panels about topics such as social media, communications, audience engagement, and creative programming. The meetings are free and open to arts administrators, business owners, individual artists, students and anyone who is interested in participating. Learn, engage and brainstorm ways to celebrate Artober Nashville.
