   BARK-WORTHY BIRTHDAY
Happy Birthday, Clover! UNT’s community support dog is turning 1 this month. Clover, who joined the UNT Police Department last fall, makes appearances at official UNT events, is often seen strolling around campus and even has her own paw-ffice hours.
While her birthday is in July, the celebrations won’t stop when the month ends — stay tuned for a special “gotcha day” celebration in September.

   PERMIT HICCUPS
Transportation Services officially launched its new parking system last week. However, several users have reported problems accessing the correct permit options. If you’re having trouble purchasing the permit you need, it may be due to a system error that is misclassifying some users.
If you encounter problems, reach out to Transportation Services at 940-565-3020 or email transportation.services@unt.edu to have the issue manually addressed. Make sure to include your student ID number in the email for faster assistance.
Thank you for your patience as Transportation Services works through these initial glitches to improve your future experience.

The jazz studies alum’s winning composition, Inis Fáil, was inspired by a recent trip to New Zealand with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. During his time at UNT, McDonald was a member of the Two O’Clock Lab Band.

   SUMMER SOAR PARTY
UNT’s Summer Soar Party is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Frisco Landing, so if you know anyone interested in applying to UNT — whether that means attending classes in Denton, Frisco or online — invite them to register for the event.
They can bring along family and friends to enjoy music and games and talk with staff members about what the university has to offer. They also can receive an application fee waiver if they apply on-site (some conditions apply) and be entered to win a tuition award just for attending the event.
