Mobility and Traffic Study Complete
| |
GPCID, in conjunction with the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation, completed the Gwinnett Place Area Mobility and Traffic Study in late November. This study's goals are to identify needed transportation, land use and community improvements to allow the area to continue to grow sustainably in present conditions and to facilitate planning for the Gwinnett Place Mall site redevelopment. This updated study considered the results of previous area studies and a survey to create a comprehensive overview of the district’s ongoing needs.
The study made it a priority to identify key projects that support the future redevelopment, including the Gwinnett Place Mall site, as well as understand the compatibility of these projects with the plans for GDOT’s I-85 Corridor study.
In total, the Mobility and Traffic Study identified 31 projects including new major roads, bridges, intersections and sidewalk improvements.

Russell Landscaping Decorates Tree at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Loving Memory
| |
Russell Landscape Group is a dedicated partner to GPCID’s endeavor to clean and beautify our district. During Thanksgiving week, Russell Landscape completed the installation of mulch throughout the CID, including at two major interstate interchanges within the district’s bounds. Now, in December, Russell Landscape continues the tradition of decorating this beautiful and festive Christmas tree at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in honor of Bill Russell’s grandson Jackson. This is the 10th Christmas tree the company has decorated for the Gardens in as many years.
We are grateful for the efforts of partners like Russell Landscape and look forward to continuing our efforts together in the New Year.
