Dear UMass Boston Community,
Canvas is currently experiencing a nationwide outage impacting institutions across the country, including UMass Boston. Faculty, staff, and students attempting to access Canvas may encounter an error message stating that “Canvas is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance.”
At this time, the issue appears to be vendor-related and is not isolated to UMass Boston. Our IT team is actively monitoring the situation and remains in communication with the vendor as they work to restore service.
We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.
We understand the disruption this may cause to teaching, learning, and university operations, and we appreciate your patience while the issue is being resolved.
