⚠️ Stop! OIT Will Never Ask This!

A phishing campaign has been aggressively targeting the Notre Dame community. While it looks official, it DID NOT come from the Office of Information Technology (OIT).

Following links or QR codes in emails like this can result in compromised accounts, and can even lead to you losing money.

Notre Dame's Office of Information Technology will NEVER:

🚨 ask you to confirm your email is still in use

🚨 ask you for your username and password

🚨 send you an unsolicited request to authenticate

🚨 add QR codes to email that "confirm your account"

Update Your Mac to Sequoia

MacOS Sequoia (Version 15) is now approved for campus use.

Upgrade now to keep your device(s) in compliance with Notre Dame security standards and enjoy the latest macOS features.

Though commonly used Notre Dame applications and services are compatible with this operating system, check with the vendor if you use an uncommon application to verify it is compatible with macOS Sequoia.

The upgrade takes about 30 minutes to complete and should be done on personal devices, as well as University-owned managed and non-managed machines.

Why "Text Me a Code" Is Not The Best Way To Go

When it's time to "Verify it's you" after entering your username and password, SMS and voice calls are less secure multifactor options.

Activate Okta FastPass instead, and make the whole process easier with biometrics!

Preparing to Submit Final Course Grades

As the semester's end gets closer, make sure your gradebooks are set up correctly to calculate student final grades.

For faculty, staff & students:

Dropdowns with multiple selections are now available! This functionality is useful in scenarios when multiple project milestones, statuses, or teams are applicable for one item.

For faculty and staff:

Conditional notifications allow you to create rules in spreadsheets that send email notifications when certain criteria are met. This provides greater visibility into spreadsheet changes most relevant to your workflow and helps enable more efficient team communication.

Enhancing Productivity with ServiceNow's Virtual Agent

Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2 - 3 p.m.

Answer questions with comprehensive knowledge, update requests as needed, and seek assistance when necessary. IT and HR requests, as well as a vast knowledge base, can be conveniently accessed and managed through the Virtual Agent platform.
