What's the Deal with SafeTrack?
SafeTrack is a year-long effort to improve the safety and reliability of the Metrorail system by condensing three years worth of maintenance into one year. This will entail round-the-clock single tracking projects, or complete shutdowns of certain lines, called "Safety Surges."
So, what are your options?
RideOn will be adding more buses on certain routes, particularly during the
Red Line shutdowns scheduled for
August 1-7, 2016 (Takoma to Silver Spring),
August 9-18, 2016 (Shady Grove to Twinbrook), and
October 10-November 1 (Fort Totten to NoMa).
