Dear ECELP Families,
Based on Governor John Bel Edwards’ extension of Phase II, we are continuing to adhere to our Pandemic Health Precautions and Procedures, which includes modified operating hours (7:30-4:15) and restriction on visitors to the building. We appreciate your patience as we adhere to our health exclusion criteria in order to keep chidlren and staff safe and healthy.

Staying Safe

Children have adjusted well to wearing masks and adhering to our health protocols, which includes frequent handwashing. We have reached out to Pennington Biomedical Center about the safety of children wearing masks, who referred us to this article from the American Lung Association.

Zoom Class Meetings

If your child is away for any reason, we want to keep in touch! While screen time is not a primary avenue for learning with young children, social connections are very important for your child. Please reach out to your child's teacher for information on the weekly Zoom call for your child's class. Teachers will hold these calls if children have to stay home with any symptoms. Please take advantage of this time for your child to maintain connection with his/her teacher and classmates.
Your child's teacher (or any member of the administrative team) is still available as a resource to answer any questions you may have about your child's development, daily routines, or fun activities! Please send an email to ask a question or schedule a phone or Zoom call.
