Dear Friend of Book-It Theatre,
We need your help.
Like many organizations, Book-It Repertory Theatre has been deeply impacted by COVID-19. We're currently estimating a total loss of revenue of $110,000 for March and April, which would be catastrophic to Book-It. In response to this dramatic loss of income, and to keep our theatre alive, Book-It made the difficult decision last week to start cuting staff hours, and lay off some of our staff.
To address the emergency caused by COVID-19, Book-It is launching a Restoration Campaign to raise $110,000 to cover our lost income. By raising $110,000 with this campaign, Book-It will be able to survive its loss of income in March and April with the hopes of carrying on our production of The Story of Edgar Sawtelle and our 30th Anniversary Gala in June.
As our "Thank You" for your support, every donation regardless of size will be entered in a drawing for a pair of season tickets for Book-It's 2020-21 Season. In addition, Book-It Board member Clay Gustaves has generously donated an 8-person cruise on his historic wooden boat, a 51 ft custom sloop designed by Seattle Naval Architect Ben Seaborn. Donations of more than $500 will be entered in a drawing to win this 8-person cruise.
Despite our anxiety about the present, Book-It looks forward to the future. We have an exciting, creative season planned for next year, and we look forward to sharing it with you.
We hope you are well and keeping heart as best you can at this challenging time. We are honored to be in community with all of you, to share the love of theatre and books with you. And just like creating a play, we know that together we will get through this.
