The Omaha Conservatory of Music invites area teachers to register for Mark O’Connor Method Teacher Training January 19-20 (MLK Day).
All-State Musical offers an exciting and intense musical theater experience for students from across the state. Auditions open on February 24 for high school students from all over Nebraska. Participants will engage in a three-day rehearsal experience to produce a fully staged musical during June of 2020 at Midland University. 
The Lied Center for Performing Arts has two school day performances this spring - George Orwell's 1984 (grades 8-12) on February 19, and Air Play (grades Kindergarten/ pre-Kindergarten) on April 15. Information on student matinees and performance guides.
The Nebraska Speech Communication and Theatre Association has posted notes from presentations and sessions from their recent "I AM NSCTA" conference as a resource for speech communications and theatre teachers. Find this resource at their website HERE.
Nebraska Art Teachers Association is gearing up to celebrate students from across the state of Nebraska in their student art exhibit at the Nebraska Association of School Board's annual conference November 20-22 in Omaha at the CHI Center. The Nebraska Music Education Association will be hosting its annual Professional Development Conference for music educators November 21-23 in Lincoln.  The All-State Clinics and performance concerts will be held at the same time.  Coming up in 2020, NMEA will celebrate "Music In Our Schools Month(R)" with Capitol Concerts and Music Education Week February 24-27, 2020.   Find more information on their website at www.nmeanebraska.org.
