This month’s lunch is on Thursday, March 14, at noon in Red Ring at 1015 Forbes Ave. to attract attendance by Duquesne Law students. The topic for discussion is “women in the profession,” and participants will share practical tips with the law students as they prepare to begin their practice. All WLD members are welcome. Please RSVP by March 12 to Jennifer Dempsey at jdempsey@mcguirewoods.com. As always, lunch is pay-your-own-way.

All WLD members are welcome. You can come to one, two, three, or all of them! Whether you are new to the WLD or have been involved for years, Let’s Do Lunch is a great way to get to know other members in an informal setting. If you have any questions about the series, contact Julie Vanneman at jvanneman@cohenlaw.com or 412-297-4715.

Employer best practices input requested for Bench-Bar

The WLD Bench-Bar Committee is focusing this year’s Bench-Bar CLE on management best practices, and the committee is collecting information on how employers handle a situation well, as well as policies or procedures that have had a positive impact on culture, diversity, productivity, retention and effectively addressing/preventing bias and harassment. If you or your organization are willing to share guidance or materials on these topics or on how complaints are collected, investigated and addressed in your company — or if you have any questions — email Amber Archer at Ala@ssf-lawfirm.com.
