Associate Professor of Theatre and Dance Bobby McElver — in partnership with a neuroscientist and visual designer — has been awarded $50K by the Bobby Anspach Studios Foundation to create an art installation that explores states of awe.

This spring, we celebrated graduates from across the School of Arts and Humanities who challenged themselves as artists and scholars, discovered new passions and built the confidence to pursue ambitious futures. 

Students in Professor of Philosophy Samuel Rickless' class, "The Meaning of Life," are asked to complete an experiment in living, engaging in something personally novel for one month. The assignment was transformative for many students.

The Department of Music recently hosted internationally acclaimed Persian classical musician Dariush Talai for his first-ever performance in California. Talai is uniquely known for improvising both traditional and contemporary music on the tar.
