Wilmar is among 40 prominent leaders to be honored at an awards reception on October 1, 2015.
According to the publication, “40 Under 40” honorees are business and civic leaders and innovators who are making a major impact in the community while also improving the civic health of the Boston area through volunteer work and other forms of philanthropy. In her practice at Bernkopf Goodman, Wilmar represents both commercial and residential landlords and tenants, hotel, restaurant and other retail owners, lenders and borrowers, title companies in title-related disputes, and individuals and small businesses. With a well-deserved reputation for being responsive, outgoing and personable, Wilmar is known as a strong advocate for her clients.
Active in the community, Wilmar is the Founder, President & CEO of The John Thomas and Special Friends Fund, a foundation that benefits numerous non-profits that work with special needs children. She also serves as a Town Meeting Member in Dedham, an officer of Dedham's Special Education Parent Advisory Council, a Board Member and Director of Fundraising for Dedham Youth Hockey, a PTO Officer and member of several fundraising committees for the Greenlodge Elementary School, a Board Member of Sing 2 Give, Inc., and has participated in numerous fundraising events benefiting children with special needs.
