Coaches Caravan with UNT athletic coaches
   COACHES CARAVAN   
Mean Green coaches are hitting the road as the UNT Alumni Association and UNT Athletics co-host three Coaches Caravans this month. They begin Thursday, June 20, in San Antonio, then travel to Houston on Friday, June 21, and end in Fort Worth on Saturday, June 22.
Jared Mosley, vice president and director of athletics, will join football coach Eric Morris and basketball coaches Ross Hodge and Jason Burton at each stop to visit and engage with Mean Green fans and talk about the upcoming season. Register by June 17! Food and non-alcoholic beverages are included, and a cash bar will be available for guests 21 and over with a valid photo ID.

Freshman orientation sessions kick off June 5 and will continue through Aug. 15. As our new Eagles get familiar with campus and meet their peers, be sure to welcome them to the nest and say hello if you’re on campus!    RICCO ETHICS SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS   
The winners of the 2024 Ricco Ethics Scholarship Competition have been selected! This ethics competition is designed to spark engaging intellectual and ethical debates among UNT students in their respective fields of study.
A big round of applause to Ben Larsen, first place graduate winner, and Linh Tran, first place undergraduate winner! These outstanding students collectively earned $10,000 for their exceptional work and research.

Let's make a difference with small acts of kindness. Here are a few ways to participate!
  • Write a thank-you note to someone who has made a difference in your life.
  • Volunteer at a local charity or community center.
  • Call or visit a family member or friend who might need some extra support.
First Friday
   FIRST FRIDAY DENTON   
Make your way to downtown Denton on Friday, June 7, and visit participating businesses for a day of shopping, art, music, food and drinks!
Start your afternoon with a picnic lunch and live music. Then take a stroll around the square, visit a gallery or shop, and stay late to enjoy the nightlife. There is something for everyone on First Friday

If you're attending First Friday, swing by the UNT CoLab for the opening reception of its newest gallery exhibition, Painting with People. This event will have a live painting session with artist and UNT alum Kendall Myers from 6-8 p.m.

If you have an unpaid internship this summer, consider applying for this Career Center scholarship! Selected recipients may receive a stipend of up to $500. Review the requirements and submit your application by 4:59 p.m. Monday, June 17.
