The summer camp season may be over, but our camp properties are gearing up to host fall renters and turning their attention to property needs for next summer. Our Caretakers have started a property wish list of items that would be especially helpful. Have a router gathering dust in your shed? Preparing to replace some household appliances? Skilled in routing wooden signs? In-kind tax receipts are available.

Peace & Social Concerns Building Collective Faithful Action Chats
|
The BYM Peace and Social Concerns Committee wants to learn how we can better connect with and support Meetings and Friends across BYM in these especially challenging times for Quaker testimonies for peace, equality, integrity and truth.
We will be calling every Meeting in September to speak with every clerk of a monthly meeting Peace (and Justice and/or Social Concerns, etc) Committee, or every Monthly Meeting Clerk to ask who we should contact if new clerks (please let us know), to ask:
-
Who should/could be best contact(s) for regular updates from BYM-PSCC?
- What are the top 2-3 things your Meeting has done for peace and justice in the last 6 months?
- What type(s) of support would you like from BYM PSCC and the YM?
- Would you enjoy something like irregular collective zoom conversations about our PSCC hopes and needs?
We then hope to review your feedback what we’ve heard and invite all concerned to a BYM Building Collective Action Chat in early October to build connection, share knowledge, and support more effective action. We see this part of our Listening work while in the spring each year we host a Networking Day focused on sharing information on important issues.
If you are a new or experienced Peace (etc) Clerk, please let us know how to reach you. Contact: Dougevaughn@aol.com
