Team Insights | Quarterly Question

In advance of the new year, we asked Rick Bruining, BELL’s Justice Division Project Executive, what he expects to change and remain the same in 2023. Rick’s experience, which includes 35 years in the construction industry and 21 years devoted exclusively to the justice sector, gives him a unique vantage point into the market. At BELL, he oversees projects and clients across the local and regional justice market while growing our portfolio of justice projects.

McEwen Block A nears completion

McEwen Northside Block A is nearly complete! The newest addition to the vibrant, urban district in Cool Springs will include 126,000 square feet of office space and 15,000 square feet of retail & restaurant space. We're excited that tenant move-in is on the horizon, with retail and dining customers soon to follow.

ACEC Tennessee honors Carothers Parkway Bridge team

The 2022 ACEC Tennessee Engineering Excellence Awards honored the Carothers Parkway Bridge team with the Grand Award for Structural Systems Large Projects. The award-winning bridge connects to the new Southeast Municipal Complex development. Congratulations to the design team, Alfred Benesch & Company, and owners at the City of Franklin, Tennessee.

TSU housing receives Excellence in Construction award

We are honored to receive an Associated Builders and Contractors Greater Tennessee Excellence in Construction Award for the Tennessee State University New Student Housing project.

Congratulations to our dedicated BELL team and partners Mackey Mitchell Architects, Moody Nolan, Tennessee State University and Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) who worked on this project, which will serve students for many years to come.

Alexei Jaglowski Named ABC Volunteer of the Year

One of the qualities that sets Alexei Jaglowski, BELL Superintendent, apart is his commitment to giving back. He prioritizes volunteering with important industry and community organizations and encourages others to do the same. As a result of his commitment to the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Greater Tennessee’s chapter, he was recently recognized as the 2022 Volunteer of the Year.

Chestnut Bend Trail Head ready for Franklin residents and visitors

For over 50 years, we've called the Williamson County area home. To give back, BELL partnered with the Friends of Franklin Parks to build the new Chestnut Bend Trail Head connecting to The Park at Harlinsdale Farm. We hope community members enjoy the new trailhead as much as we enjoyed building it.

The power of tradition: Giving back with Second Harvest

Sharing meals with friends and family may be a holiday tradition we often take for granted. For the second year in a row, BELL team members spent a Saturday volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, which distributes 394 pounds of food each week to people facing hunger and those at risk for food insecurity.

Sponsoring Buy a Tree Change a Life at Gateway Franklin Church is always a joy. This year, several BELL team members volunteered by selling Christmas trees to the community with proceeds benefitting various organizations that help meet the needs of children locally and globally.
