Spring Cleaning? Don't Forget to Tidy Up Your Computer |
Spring cleaning is not limited to your home and office! Be sure to include your computer files and data!
Don't let digital clutter overwhelm you! Just like "a spoonful of sugar," the Conquer Your Clutter program can "help the medicine go down" easier. It provides simple tips and tricks to help you clean up and organize your digital workspace.
Don't Lose Access to Important Shared Files |
Spring is a great time of year to check the status of your shared files. Did someone you worked with leave the University within the last year? If so, any files they own and shared may be permanently deleted unless you confirm they are stored in a Google Shared Drive or Box Group account.
According to the Account Lifecycle policy, the Google and Box accounts of those who left Notre Dame over a year ago will be deactivated.

REMINDER: Content created by any graduating student while at Notre Dame will be deleted in July. Be sure any documents and files your student worker(s) created and/or own are stored in a Shared Drive.Â

Hackers Love Lazy Passwords. Don't Be Their Favorite! |
Lazy passwords are simple passwords—like 12345, or other common identifying information such as birthdays, pet names and family names. Hackers love them because they can be easily cracked.
Follow Notre Dame's password standards to protect your account information with a long, random and unique password (minimum 16 characters). Change your password before your password becomes a hacker's favorite!

The good news: You have better options that are safer!
