Update Apple Devices to Address Security Vulnerabilities |

Users of Kaspersky products are encouraged to find a replacement promptly. Effective July 20, Kaspersky, an antivirus software company, cannot sell to new customers in the United States. On September 29, they will not be able to provide existing users with software updates, which will increase its exposure to vulnerabilities.

As classes begin, regular business hours for the OIT Help Desk for the fall semester are as follows (all times listed are Eastern Time):

Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (closed Wednesdays 12-noon - 1:30 p.m. for staff meetings; walk-ins only)
- Saturday & Sunday: Closed

NOTE: The OIT Help Desk will have extended hours on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 12-noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 25 from 1 to 5 p.m. It will also be open on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The OIT Help Desk staff can resolve most support questions or issues without face-to-face contact. If you need to check out equipment or need other in-person assistance, please make an appointment by signing in using the iPad located directly inside the door of the OIT Help Desk office (115 DeBartolo Hall), OR use your own device and go to: go.nd.edu/HDappt. You will receive an email when you are next in line.

Drive Update: File Hover Cards
Reviewing files in Google Drive just got easier.
Old Way: Manually open each file or use “Open with > Preview.”
New Feature: Hover cards show a thumbnail and key info when you hover over a file.
Info Displayed: File type, owner, recent modifiers, and last modification date.
