Some people from our adult programs, and our advocacy group STAND Together, enjoyed the sights, sounds, and funnel cakes at The 2025 Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. If you missed out, or want to go again, mark your calendar for August 14 – August 22, 2026.

Medicaid Redeterminations: What You Should Know |
|
|
Many Marylanders with disabilities are losing Medicaid coverage due to a process called redetermination. At The Arc Montgomery County, we’re working hard to protect the services of those we support who are affected.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Medicaid coverage was protected. Now, states must verify that people are still eligible. This means updated financial or medical information must be submitted to keep benefits.
If redetermination isn’t completed correctly or on time, services may be lost.
Tips:
• Click here to confirm your mailing address.
• Act quickly when you receive a notice.
• Submit online if possible. It is faster and more reliable.
• Respond immediately to requests for more documents.
If The Arc supports you or a loved one, please reach out with questions or concerns.

Celebrating the Heart of Our Mission: DSP Recognition Week September 7-13 |
|
|
This DSP Recognition Week, we’re honoring the Direct Support Professionals at The Arc Montgomery County. We couldn’t do what we do without them.
DSPs are truly the heart of our mission, providing daily support, encouragement, and care that empower the people we support to live full and meaningful lives.
As we celebrate their dedication, we invite you to honor their impact by donating to The Arc. Your gift directly supports the people we serve and helps us recognize the incredible DSPs who make our mission possible.
If there’s a DSP you would like to give a special shout-out to, send us a message at Engagement@TheArcMoCo.org

We also appreciate the support and presence of Delegate Lorig Charkoudian and representatives from the offices of Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles and Senator Van Hollen, who joined us in the celebration.
