April has arrived, which means our 2023-2025 district leader election is underway! Please remind coaches that any coach who is on the roster of a school in your district is eligible to serve on your District Committee. One advisor per high school may log in to their NSDA Account and select "NSDA Voting" from the left side menu. Voting ends April 28. Results will be announced in early May.

District Chairs: District Awards Reporting Form Due April 16
|
Each district chair is invited to submit their district-level student, coach, and administrator award winners to be considered for national-level awards using this form. Two things are required to enter your local award winners into the running for our national-level award: the completion of this reporting form and the supporting information collected as part of the nomination form. If your district used the nominating forms to select a winner, reminder that all nomination emails have the same all nomination emails have the same naming convention: District [Award Name] Nomination [Nominee Name]. The submission form closes April 16.
You can also submit any District Leader Commendations through the reporting form. Commendations do not require a separate nomination form.

You’re Invited: District Leader Luncheon
|
Registration day at the National Tournament is an exciting day often full of travel and visiting with old and new friends. We hope you’ll also plan to attend the District Leader Luncheon on Sunday, June 11 at 1:00 p.m. MT at the Phoenix Convention Center. All district leaders are invited to join us as we celebrate the work you’ve done for our community over the last school year.

Last Chance to Qualify for NSDA Nationals!
|
Are there schools in your district that haven’t yet qualified students to the National Tournament? If so, please specifically encourage them to try once more at the Last-Chance Qualifier! Remind them that in addition to the established number of qualifiers per event, a limited number of top-performing students from schools with no other National Tournament qualifiers will also advance to Nationals. Participation is FREE, and all National Tournament main events and Big Questions will be offered. Registration closes April 21. Share this opportunity »

The highest honor for any high school speech and debate coach is election to the NSDA Hall of Fame. Current Hall of Fame members and active coaches with three or more Diamond Awards may vote online to select this year’s inductees. To access the ballot, log in to your NSDA Account and select “NSDA Voting” from the left side menu. Voting ends April 28.
