AF-22 Air Regulator and Filter Combo
TB #:  TB-19-03
Date: June 14, 2019
Product Lines Affected: AF-22
Overview:
At Condair we are continuously working towards improving and optimizing our products based on internal testing as well as feedback from the field. The AF-22 is an in-space humidifier that uses compressed air to atomize water particles directly into the room. Clients and end-users should be fully aware that their air compressor should produce breathing quality air and be free from impurities (oil, dust, water, etc.).
Known Issue:
A known issue, which may cause defects, in the AF-22 is oil found inside the air regulator and solenoid. This happens when customers add oil to their air compressors but do not incorporate an air regulator and filter prior to the humidifiers.
Two potential problems can occur:
1. First, oil from the air compressor can make its way into the bulkhead of the AF-22 causing maintenance issues.
2. Second, the air side will remain on or not come on as expected creating spray problems.

Solution:
We highly recommend that all AF-22, past and future, installs be fitted with a compressed air filter/regulator device between the air compressor and the actual humidifiers.
Benefits:
By incorporating an air-filter and regulator this will ensure that the AF-22 will operate optimally. As well as reducing instances of damage to the unit and downtime.
Where to purchase the air regulators / filter combo:
Condair provides supporting hardware/accessories for its AIRFOG Products from our HELP Product Catalog page (part number 1609401), this can be used for the AF-22.

Primary Air Control, with filter, AIRFOG parts - Part Number is 1609401
